Some opinions of pretty decent x-pipes, exhaust systems that give an actual horsepower torque gain. I know that a lot of people choose the more expensive types like BBK, SLP, Magnaflow, Pypes. Some which are quite cheaper like Flowtech, Pacesetter. And a couple I just have no idea about like Dynomax and Hedman. I really want to get an exhaust system that will last a lot longer, so I won't go for Pacesetter and Flowtech because I know people say they are crap. Anyone know what brand I can get for cheap price, maybe around 600-800. Figuring most catted x-pipes will go for 300+, and dual exhausts go for 300+ as well. Also let me know how they perform if you know something about it.

Hey, if I buy a catted Magnaflow exhaust can I use it with a BBK X-pipe, does the X-pipe have to be catted if you already have a catted exhaust like the Magnaflow catted exhaust? And the offroad one, that is illegal for road use right? I am going to find some answers soon, please help, thanks!

I wanna draw attention :), but im on a bit of a budget and i want something that will last. i was thinking magnaflow but i didnt really like the sound on the last car i put it on, any ideas?
Well it could have been the car, i did have it on a pontiac sunfire.

I have an '05 Grand Marquis with single exhaust and i have heard there may be some weird pop sounds...I was wondering if I put on a Flowmaster Super 44 Muffler and Magnaflow Catalytic Converter will it make any weird sounds or will it sound perfectly normal. It has glasspack exhaust if that matters.
Also, I was wondering if i had to do anything special to put on the Cat Converter because I was reading some these about laws about the converters and saw restrictions. The car has 120,000 miles so I think it obeys the requirements. Anyone know what I would have to do and if it's legal?
Rick: I found guidelines that said when you are allowed to change cats and one of them said if you car is 95 or newer and had over 50,000 miles then you were free to do any changes you want?

No, I didn't know i had two cats. lol

I have an '05 Grand Marquis with glasspack exhaust system. What would happen if I put a Super Delta 44 Muffler and a Magnaflow/Flowmaster Catalytic Converter on it? It has single, NOT dual exhaust! I want more of a rumble and with just the glasspacks I don't feel like I am getting all the sound I want. Also, it has the 4.6 V8
I did some research and found out removing catalytic converters are illegal unless under certain siutations?
If my converter is working but I do fulfill the requirement that it is over 50,000 miles (it has 120,000) can I legally replace my converter even though it is working correctly?

i want to put dual straight pipe exhausts on my car. the price is not so much a problem, i am looking at Flowmaster or Magnaflow. i have a v8 (Mercedes s430) and i love the sound of a car that has lots of power and roars kinda like a mustang gt. what pipes would give me that kind of sound? and how much the cost of a professional installation?

Is Magnaflow catback exhaust system or factory exhaust better for a 98 Firebird Trans Am?
Will I lose power if i get a magnaflow? Or would it just be better to keep my factory exhaust system?

I have 98 trans am firebird with factory exhaust, would it be better to stick with my factory exhaust or get a magnaflow catback exhaust system? i heard i will actually lose power if i get a magnaflow catback. any suggestions? should i save money and stick with the factory exhaust since i havent had any problems with it and it seems pretty quiet

should i get a MAGNAFLOW Cat-Back EXHAUST or a GReddy Racing Ti-C Axleback Exhaust?

also if u have better suggestions, go for it

I know that Magnaflow and Borla are amongst the best out there, but I was just curious, which exhaust system has been tried and trusted for the WRX or STi? I'm not planning on converting my car into a full-time track car, I just want it to be a weekend racer...
To I <3 my suby:
are you talking about the APEXi GT Spec? I was look at those too, but now I'm just looking around, see what other WRX owners say first, because I've bought some stuff for my car vefore which turned out to be a heart break, right now, I have the Perrin short ram intake, strut bar, and the 22mm front and rear sway bars...

say I have a 1988 IROC Camaro with the original 350 in it. With it I have MAC Headers & y-pipe and a 3" Magnaflow cat-back. Would I be able to put a 383 stroker Crate engine w/ 475 HP in it without changing the headers and exhaust?

And would I have to do any other modifications to put a Blower on the 383?

I have to replace the muffler on my car and i want to put a performance muffler on. I just dont want to get something that will sound like a fart can or like a cheap exhaust. I want to get a fairly deep, beastly sounding muffler. Im looking at a magnaflow performance muffler at advance auto care for $94

Hi,

I own a Dodge Neon sxt 2005 model...and I decided that I wanted an exhaust..but I have no idea of where to start or even what to consider..anyone have any ideas of what exhaust are good such as magnaflow? Is it worth the 502 bucks that it sells for? I need feedback please!! Thanks

does a flow-master of magnaflow sound ok on a 3.8 liter v6. my son wants it for his camaro and i'm afraid it will sound like a pregnant bumble bee. he thinks it will sound like the flow-masters on my truck. i've seen the complete systems for $400 and i have seen the mufflers for about $70.needless to say i'm not getting the $400 system. any help would be appreciated.

i have a 2000 jeep gc 2wd with the 4.0l, my mods are listed as follows...k&n fipk cai,63mm bored throttle body, 63mm throttle body spacer, banks headers, magnaflow hi flow cat converter, and a gibson performance exhaust, just picked up a superchips programmer can any1 give me a realistic estimate in hp/tq for me? my guess is 265hp/300lbs tq is that possible or am i dilussional?

i have a 2000 mustang gt it is lowered, magnaflow exhaust .short throw shifter, cobra brake pads and discs, and a CAI what else could i add to it i wanna get to about 350rwhp natrually aspirated?

I have a 1998 ford mustang cobra that is rated at 305 hp stock but I put a bbk h-pipe,magnaflow exhaust, 373 gears, aluminum drive shaft, aluminum flywheel, and a king cobra clutch.

I have a 2004 eclipse GT it has 205hp stock but ive added short tube headers, cold air intake, underdrive pulley, and a magnaflow exhaust on it.. and soon i'll be putting a ported intake mainifold on it. so about how much horsepower does my car have now and how much will the manifold gain?

I have a 1999 Camaro v6 engine and I want to add a cool air intake and a magnaflow dual exhaust. I am thinking about putting in ethier a super charger or a v8? What mods would be good for this car?

i am thinkin about getting some exhaust put on my 05 dodge stratus sxt but i dont know what to get or anything because the mechanic suggested magnaflow but i looked and there are so many sizes and stuff like that. i just need some help and any suggestions for tips would be good too.

Is it Greddy or magnaflow? also is stillen a crappy brand cause I heard that from my friend

I want a nice loud grumble, like a muscle car sound

Magnaflow Axleback
SLP Powerflo
Pypes 409
Borla Axleback
Bassani
Flowmaster American Thunder

I have a 2002 Volkswagen GTI.... Mods include:

Greddy blow off vavle

new turbo downpipe

magnaflow exhaust

short shifter

What can i do to REALLY increase horsepower without going over 500$

i was looking into a APR 93 ECU upgrade which is saying that for 499$ it will give me 45 more horsepower and an amazing 80 more foot pounds of torque.

Can anyone think of anything maybe cheaper or ever more powerfull i can do without going above 500$

turbo controller or something maybe.... idk

Thank you

i bought my 1998 grand marquis with about 60,000 miles and put magnaflow dual exhaust on it at about 65,000. now at about 73,000 i want to do headers and delete the cats. the car has an extended warranty for 200,000 miles. i just want to know if the headers will void the warranty. and i would also like to know that if deleting the cats, will i pass emissions or inspection? and would it pass if i had an sct tuner?

I have been researching dual exhaust systems and have found some I am thinking about getting. They are on americanmuscle.com the pypes or the magnaflow conversion kits. Just wondering if anyone else knows of some good ones.

i have basically decided to either go with a gibson or a magnaflow but im open to other suggestions
I hear good things from everyone about flowmaster but i cant find one that will be a custom fit and i dont really want to pay for an install i have a 98 jeep wrangler gibson and magnaflow have custom fits but i dont know how good they are

i was thinking a magnaflow, but im not sure if thats the best i can get for under $1000 help

i have a 2000 jeep g.c its a 2wd with the 4.0l ls, it is lowered and have a k&n fipk c.a.i., bored 63mm throttle body and a bored 1inch spacer to match, banks headers, magnaflow hi-flow cat and a gibson performance exhaust, i also have an manual exhaust cutout(dump) b4 my cat a lil after my down pip from headers, and a superchips programmer, removed my roof rack and am planing to go to the track for the 1st time can any1 give me adecent estimate as to wat i can expect? is a 14 possible?

other exhausts such as magnaflow, flowmaster, jba, borla...

Anyone got any suggestions on mods and upgrades to put in my 97 chevy camaro I am already thinking of putting a Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust System and I am trying to find a intake system but I cant find one. Anyone got any suggestions?

I wanting to get rid of the magnaflow muffler off my 2000 civic ex and am wanting to put on the stock Senkei Honda catback exhaust that comes on the 07' si's...I've fitted a catback from a 94-01 integra onto a 96 civic but I dont know if a 07 civic will work on a 00 civic...

Ok, i have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier LS Sport Z24. It has a magnaflow exhaust and i have been keeping it outside in the yard cause the garage is full. Every time i run the car, there is water or something that comes out of the exhaust. sometimes it is clear and sometimes it is grayish to black. when i try reving up the car, more of this liquid comes out. its still not very much at all but some comes out. sometimes if the car has been running for a while, when i turn it off, smoke or exhaust comes out of it too. i have no idea what it is and i dont know if its a problem. plz help.

what would be the con and pros of doing this???

I want the dual exhaust look but want to gain power and performance!!! (such as Magnaflow)

any idea how i may achieve this??

im looking at ghl 2.5 turbo back and the magnaflow 2.5 turbo back. the magnaflow is definitely cheaper but is it quieter or louder? im looking for a "deep quiet idle" thats close to stock but not quite. i think both have a resonator along with muffler and the cat con.

will any of these two systems throw error codes on my dash display? i def need an exhaust with fitments for the 02 sensors.
anyone have an opinion on either exhaust or able to compare them?

i just bought a 1999 volvo s80 T6 with 86k what should i do to my car to make it faster or even for looks ?? windows are tinted and i put a magnaflow exhaust on

I want to install some Magnaflow cat back exhaust to my 2001 Honda accord lx. where could i take my car for this to be done? or do i have to do it myself?
BTW I live in central Georgia

How much horsepower will I get out of some of the stuff i want to do to my truck? I'm going to put a 40 series flowmaster on it running it to a magnaflow dual exhaust system. Put a cold air intake in it and chip it.

What's the difference between Magnaflow and Flowmaster?

Do they both increase the same amount of horsepower?
Save the same amount of fuel?
Which sounds better on a truck?

I got a V8 4.7 quad cab, and can barely hear the engine running, and it feels like the truck's being robbed of its power.
Which exhaust system will give my truck some confidence?

I have a 2009 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 Coupe, is it worth spending 700 dollars for a performance cat back exhaust from magnaflow? Also, is magnaflow a good quality exhaust?

are the magnaflow magnapacks any louder than the regular magnaflow or do they juz have a different tone to them? I found a shop that only has regular magnaflow and they will only charge me 250 and if there isnt a big difference then i will go ahead and get them. I have a 02 GT by the way.

A while back while I was in the market for a new exhaust system I ran across a video on the internet (pretty sure Youtube) that was of a certain company with a motor on a test stand testing different mufflers. They compared the quiet, aggressive, then open headers. I can't find this video. Can someone help me out? I think it was either by Flowmaster, Magnaflow, or maybe even Borla.
